The rail can be constructed into a track in two ways, jointed by rail joints together using other rail fastening products or welded one by one. Usually, the previous approach is more common. Two rails are joined by rail joint bars and track bolts. The track must be connected to the joint, so that the track will be as a continuous beam with a uniform surface and alignment. Therefore, check all the fish plate and its accessories before they installed in the railroad line is very necessary.Rail joint (fishplate) always makes an important role in rail connection. Rail joint can be divided into light rail, heavy rail and crane rail.

Rail Joints Production Quality Assurance

AGICO is a company through the ISO 9001/2000 certification. All the processes are in accordance with the ISO quality management system requirements. We are all in accordance with standard procedure operation from supplier’s quality control to the finished product. We have a strict quality control system. For the inspection and testing of raw materials, we require suppliers to provide the production batch number, chemical composition, mechanical properties testing index, such as our quality control inspector in the process of testing samples sampling and bulk material certificate and provide raw materials and other testing tools. According to the different requirements of the products, we make the corresponding physical and chemical testing and check. If the result does not meet our requirements, we will refuse to accept and choose to receive materials which can meet our standards. Before each delivery, we always do sampling inspection to ensure that every piece of products delivered to the customer is of quality and qualified.

Joint Bar Appearance Quality

a.After rolling rail should be straight with no significant bending and torsion. For local light rail, correction of bending, torsion deformation and rail end tilt shall not exceed the prescribed standards.

b.The steel rail surface should be clean and smooth with no cracks, scratches and other defects. The end face shall be without marks of shrinkage cavity and intercalation, etc. For the light rail, surface defects and geometrical quantity allowed shall not exceed the stipulated standards.

AGICO Featured Rail Joints (Fishplates)

According to its hole number, fishplates are generally divided into four and six holes. A pair (two pieces) fishplates connecting two rails by six bolts, rely on the shoulder slope which closely contacts with the rail and the bears the load when train is passing and withstand the tension and compression, bending, shear and fretting wear of complex stress function.

Rail Joint Main Chemical Composition

Quality Control and Testing

AGICO's rail joint production attaches great importance to control and management quality. Our rail joint production is completely in accordance with the ISO9001-2000 quality control system, we have also obtained product manufacture licenses from the Railway Ministry of the People's Republic of China.

In the rail joints testing process, we set out to some key points, such as specifications, height, the match degree with other railway fasteners, the distance between two holes, rail joint appearance quality and so on. Joint bar specification should strictly according to the different standards which customer needs. We supply AREMA, BS, UIC, DIN, South American and African standard joint bars. The distance between two holes is also very important in the joint bar testing process. AGICO GROUP absolutely doesn't allow any joint bar which has the wrong distance to delivery to the customers. Not only height, but also the match degree with other railway fasteners, any aspect of the data does not meet the requirements will be considered substandard products, will not be delivered to the customer.
